Fine Art Restoration
Artist Stephen Weston has been restoring fine artwork and porcelain for 27 years. His indepth knowledge, expertise, and skill is a result of years of hands-on experience restoring artwork in various media.
Stephen has worked in all areas of porcelain art including modeling, mold making, casting, firing, glazing and painting. He was one of the top artists at Royal Worcester Porcelain Company in England and is sought after for his extensive skill and immaculate work repairing porcelain works of art. Stephen was also the artist and manager of Bronn of America in Brielle, NJ. Over the years, Stephen has had the privilege of restoring a large original Pablo Picasso terra cotta bowls as well as a Marc Chagall plaque. His expertise lies in Faberge (Saint Petersburg Collection of London), Disney (Always Another Rainbow), Lladro, Boehm, Cybis, Connoisseur of England, Royal Worcester of England, and antiques dating back to the 16th century.
Stephen has restored oil paintings ranging from the 15th to the 20th century as well as those by the Dutch Masters. A fine artist himself, Stephen is intimately knowledgeable about oils on canvas, water colors, and pastels. He has worked with highly experienced restorers while remaining as an associate to the American Institute of Conservation of Washington D.C. Stephen specializes in cleaning, patching tears, lining, re-stretching canvases, recreating missing images, etc.
Stephen's restoration expertise extends to fine art objects made from a range of less commonly used materials including wood, concrete, bone, ivory, and jade.
